The German Designer Club and the International Conference for Korean Culture Creative Industry

The German Designer Club´s board member Wolf Udo Wagner took part in the “International Conference for Korean Culture Creative Industry” in South Korea.
Guest speakers came from all around the world, from Germany, England, France, USA, Japan, and of course from South Korea. One of the keynote speakers was Charles Landry, the urban planning specialist and author of the book: The Creative City.
Other guest speakers included Hiroshi Nakane, CEO of Japan Tourism Marketing Agency, from Japan; Professor Eun Jin Hwang from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA; Susanne Stöck from the Hessen Agentur, Germany. Wolf Udo Wagner spoke on behalf of the German Designer Club.
Objective of the conference was the promotion of the Jeollabuk-do region. Culture, design and economy stood in the foreground of the discussions and workshops.

South Korean Visitors at the DDC

Governor Wan-Ju Kim from Jeonlabuk do, together with other leaders of trade, economics and cultural ministries from South Korea were welcomed at the office of the German Designer Club DDC in Frankfurt, Germany.
The visitors were interested in establishing stronger ties with the DDC and design oriented German companies. After a presentation held by Wolf Udo Wagner, board member of the DDC, introducing the visitors to the work of the DDC, a lively discussion evolved on how stronger connections could be formed between the two countries´s design oriented communities.
